At the Kamal Atatürk Avenue Road in Banani, capital of Banani, last night the death toll rose to 19 in the fire at the FR tower. One among the dead is a Sri Lankan citizen.Besides, more than 70 people are being treated at different hospitals in the capital
On Thursday (March 28th), senior station officer of the fire station, Khurshid Anwar informed the reporters. He said 14 bodies have been recovered from inside the building. The deceased were identified as Parvez Sajjad, 47, Amina Yasmin, 40, and Sadar Upazila of Dinajpur, resident of Nazrul Islam Mridha, resident of Baluigram of Kashiani upazila of Gopalganj.Mamun, 36, son of Abul Kashem of Baluakandi village, Abdullah Al Faruk, 32, Maksudur (66), Monir (50) of the evening MBA course in the Department of Management of Dhaka University, and Niras Vigne Raja, 40, manager of Sri Lankan and Banani Schengel Logistics Manager. The identity of others is still unknown.
Meanwhile, Banani Police Station Officer-in-charge Farman Ali told reporters that many of the people inside the fire jumped from the building to save their life, and injured him while going through the cable. The injured were brought to Dhaka Medical College, Kurmitola General Hospital, Apollo Hospital and United Ambulance
Being treatedMany of the injured are in critical condition. The number of deaths may increase. Earlier on Thursday (March 28th) a fire broke out in private multi-storied FR Tower on 1pm. The fire started spreading in the entire building, and the euphoria began, the Ahazari started.
Fire Service activists started the operation to control the fire and arrest the detainees. After this, the work of the detention of the detainees was started by 3pm at 4pm and at 4pm by air lift. During this time members of the fire service personnel of the army, navy and air force joined the fire service personnel in rescue. Fire control work has been hindered since the water crisis.
